Update as of 4/30/07

Karol, Lang, and I went to see mom Monday at lunch. She was sitting up in a chair and is doing very well under the circumstances. I understand she was able to walk some earlier in the day with some assistance. She is completely unhooked from all medical tubes now. When we talked, her biggest issue was that her vision and depth perception were not quite working right. She is also having some minor issues with short term memory. I understand there is an expectation that all these things will improve in the coming days and weeks. We don't have anything definitive from the medical personnel, but we will not be surprised if she is able to go home within the next week or so. She is in a regular room in the Richardson tower at Harris Hospital downtown. Thank you again for your prayers and comments. I am glad to be able to provide such good news.

Great news! And a big WOO-HOO for Brenda getting unhooked from the tubes! It's awesome that she's making strides--literally.

We'll continue praying for her complete healing and for all of you to get the rest, strength and peace you need.
